With the noble dark chestnut Belvedere DB the now four year old favourite of the westphalian saddle licensing in 2019 settles down at our stable in Voerde, Germany.

Belvedere DB has already has already proven himself as a real athlete by winning his first two tests as a three year old .

On the occasion of the saddle licensing in Münster, Belvedere did not only impress the licensing committee but also the spectators, who particularly praised the ground covering and uphill canter as well as his overall sympathetic appearance that strongly resembles his father Belissimo as a young horse.

Bred by the famous german breeders family de Baey, his pedigree has numerous famous stallions, such as Danone and Rubinstein in the damline.

Belvederes father Belissimo is one of the most popular figures of the german dressage horse breeding and through him the great influence of Bolero can be maintained for the modern dressage horses.

Bella Rose, the unique mare ridden by Isabell Werth, probably is Belissimos most poplar offspring.

Back then his grandfather Beltain (Bolero x Grande) was the first stallion to be licensed because of his success on Prix St.Georges level and thereby also was the first stallion that had already proved himself as a athlete. Beltain was ridden by Leonie Bramall and the combination was trained by Johann Hinnemann and so we come full circle.

His mothers father Danone was successful in Grand Prix himself and developed to a reliable “sport-horse-father” throughout the years and with the legendary Rubinstein another guarantor of the german dressage horse breeding finds it place in Belvedere’s pedigree.

Next to several successful sport- and auction horses the horses Super Tyme (Inter-I/ Evi Strasser CDA) and  Santorini Hit (Inter-I/Andrew Gould GBR) as well as the former PSI-Auction horse Santino von Sandro Hit all belong to the hannoveranian damline of the famous “Silberranke”.
